Happy Monday to everyone, I hope everyone had an enjoyable weekend. This week we will be starting our state packets. A note will come home with due dates along with the packet. The students should really enjoy doing these.

Our field trip for Springfield has been scheduled for May 18. I will be sending permission slips home later this week.

As for this week, we will have a spelling and reading test on Friday. We will have a math pretest on Thursday followed by the test on Friday for those who don't receive and A on the pretest.

OK. We are finally back to our regular schedule. The past couple weeks have been a little different with all the testing going on. We will be having a spelling test and reading test on Friday. We will also have a vocabulary quiz on Thursday. The spelling packet is due on Thursday as well.

We will be reviewing for ISAT for the next two weeks, that means that we will not have a reading story, spelling words, or vocabulary words. We will be doing a lot of work in the classroom. We will still be doing math and we will start reviewing science.

Unfortunately our trip to WBGZ was cancelled due to the weather, I think that we will be able to go and be on the air in April. I will let you know more when I do.

We will have a spelling bee in our class tomorrow it will cover the first ten spelling lessons. Next week our spelling bee will be over lessons 11-21.

Finally, THANK YOU for doing such a wonderful job on all of the inventions. I enjoyed listening to the students talk about them and I thought it was great to hear that they had so much fun creating them.

This is a short week and we have a lot to cover in it. The Spelling Packet is due on Thursday as usual the spelling test will be on Friday.

I have handed out a math packet that will be due on Monday the 25. this packet is to help the students prepare for the ISAT. They will be given a new packet every Monday up until the first of March. The math packet doesn't take the place of the math lessons we do in class. However, their assignments from the book will sometimes be shortened or they will not have a problem set for that night. Please help your student with the packets.

Welcome back to another exciting week.

The reading story for this week is, "Mighty Jackie: The Strike Out Queen" we will have a test over this story on Friday. We will have a vocabulary quiz on Thursday and a Spelling Test on Friday.

We will finish up Chapter 1 in science this week. I plan on having a science test on Thursday this week. It would be good for the students to review one lesson a night.

Good news! The students now have their agendas, please check them nightly!

Parents please remind your students that we still have about 7 days of school left. We still have a couple of test to take and a few more lessons to cover, so the same behavior is expected of them now as it has been all year.

We will be taking a math test tomorrow as well as a vocabulary quiz.

Friday morning we will be taking a science test. Play day is not until the afternoon--so please have them study for this test.

We are getting close to being done- 9 days and counting!

This week we will have a spelling test on Friday and a vocabulary quiz on Thursday. We will be reading a play in class called "Discovering the Atocha."

We will be taking a math test on Wednesday and hopefully take a science test Friday morning. Please have your students start preparing for this test. it will be over chapter 3 starting on page A64 and ending on page A89.

Thank you to all the parents who helped make our trip to Springfield a success. I hope you had as much fun as the students.

We will be taking another trip this Friday to the Lewis and Clark Historical Site, located on
Route 3.

Tomorrow is our big trip to Springfield.
Please have your child wear comfortable clothing. They need to wear tennis shoes. There will be a lot of walking so please no SANDALS OR FLIP FLOPS.

Please no ipods or mp3 players or any kind of electronic device. The bus will have a DVD player, so we will be watching movies.

Also if you could, please have your student wear a red shirt!

This week we have two field trips so, we will not have a reading test or spelling test on Friday. We will have a vocabulary quiz on thursday. This week story is "Meet the Bunyans."

We are in the process of wrapping up our State Projects. The students have done a wonderful job, and hopefully you have enjoyed this experience along with them. Once they are completed I will be putting them on display in the school's lobby, feel free to stop by and see them.

Welcome back, hope all is all. Please send back permission slips and progress reports. Also, there will be another permission slip sent home this week about a field trip next Friday to the Lewis and Clark Historical Site. Please sign and return as soon as possible.

The story this week is "Grand Canyon" we will have a test over it on Friday. We will have a vocabulary quiz on Thursday, please make sure your student is studying those words nuightly. We will also have a spelling test on Friday.

We are working on our state packets. This week we will be finishing the shoe box and state relief map. We will do this at school.

Friday will be another busy day. In the morning we will be having a spelling test, a reading test, a D.O.L. quiz and a Geography quiz. In the afternoon we will be having an assembly in celebration of earth day.

Permission slips for our Springfield trip were sent home today. Please sign and return them as soon as possible.

Pages- 11,12,13,14,15, along with pages 5 and 19 in the State Packets should be completed by Friday.

Welcome back to another wonderful monday. This week we will be reading "Dragons and Dinosaurs" from out Stotytown books. This week we will have a math test on Tuesday, a vocabulary quiz on Thursday, please have the students study these words every night! On Friday we will have a spelling test and a test over our story. This week in grammar we are studying irregular verbs.

Sorry I have missed the last couple of days. We had a short, but exciting week. Today was our pizza party for the canned food drive. I will list this weeks assignments below.

Happy monday, this will be a short week. The students will be bringing home their state packets this week. They will have two weeks to work on them. We will be spending about an hour a day on them in school. Along with the packets will be a timeline of when parts of the packet are due. I am asking that the students do not work ahead on the actual pages of the packets, so that when we work in class they will have something to do. They can do the research and brain work items as they please.

Tomorrow we will be having a pretest on the spelling words, any student who gets a 90% or higher will not have to take the test next Friday.

This week we will be reading "Mangrove Wilderness" from our Story Town books. In math we will be doing lessons 103,104,105, and 106. We will have a math test on Thursday. We have started a new chapter in science it has 3 lessons so expect a test sometime next week.

This week is Book Fair week, we will have a preview day on Wednesday. The students will be able to purchase books on Thursday and Friday. Friday is also Muffins with Mom.
